Programs Used For My Coursework

This piece of software has allowed me to construct my trailer. Last year at AS level I used a more basic peice of software with limited effects and options for me to create a professional outlook on my coursework. This year I have been able to use Adobe Premiere to create an even more advanced piece of coursework improving my knowledge. This enabled me to have more effects, transitions and font sizes. There was also more freedom for me to move and crop my clips without getting confused. Overall Adobe Premiere was a brilliant advantage to my coursework. This has been the biggest impact on our coursework by far. Without the internet the majority of our coursework would be a slow process and to present it electronically online would be impossible. I use the internet in my everyday life and so using it is fast and easy. I have used the internet for my research, presenting my products (for example my trailer on Youtube). Most importantly I have been able to use google documents to link my coursework with my group and present it electronically online using www.blogger.com.

This was originally going to be used to construct my website, however we decided to use Photoshop. I have used Dream Weaver to present my website in a web-based format allowing me to view my website as if it was real.

I Have used photoshop for two sections of my coursework. Firstly I used it to construct my magazine and secondly I used it to construct my website. This is an effective program to use as it is very advanced with many effects to benefit my coursework. My work looks alot more professional due to this program, the endless options presented before me has allowed me to work with my ideas improving them and developing new ideas from them for a better product.

I used YouTube to promote my trailer this year and last year. This enables people to leave feedback for my work and enables me to link my trailer to my blogger. Last year I was able to present my evaluation on YouTube, this year I am using blogger. Youtube also allows people to leave comments on my video which helps my audience feedback, this will allow me to improve my work for next time and help me understand where I am going wrong.

Adobe Audition was used for two sections of my coursework. Firstly for my trailer. I used this program in Weymouth Colleges Sound recording room to record Becca's (actor) voice for the over script for our trailer to help add emotion. It was secondly used for my radio advertisement to help record the scripted riddle to help promote my viral campaign film. My own experience has definatly improved now and I would be able to use this software without the need for help. This program has aided my coursework I have had more advanced equipment meaning more options and effects allowing my work to have a professional outlook.

Microsoft Word was used to present my work, mainly my pre-production and notes. I gathered my research and conclusions on this which helped give it a professional outlook. This also means I have a hard copy and I am able to link it quickly to google documents and my blog. This saves alot of time as my other option would be to handwrite my work, my hand writting is not very neat therefore my groupmates would find it hard to read my writting and this would waste time. Overall Microsoft word has been very useful during my coursework.
